Can These 9 Little-Known Exercises For Sciatica
Finally Relieve Your Sciatica?

You may not know about these exercises for sciatica that you can do in the comfort of your home. If you know about these sciatica exercises, you may not know how to do them correctly… in ways that won’t hurt you and make your sciatica worse. What if you have access to these simple, easy exercises with step-by-step guidance giving you clear instructions on how to perform them correctly?

What if you can finally get sciatica relief and go through your day without that nagging sciatica? Maybe you can once again sleep through the night without being woken up by your leg pain or back pain. Maybe you can once again be able to sit or stand comfortably on any surface,  like others without sciatica.

Stop feeling disappointed in yourself for not contributing enough and for not being strong enough to shake off your sciatica. Gain back the respect of your family, friends, and co-workers and change their perception of you from being a weak, dependent, complaining person to a strong, independent, and capable person who is respected and valued.

Haven’t you suffered long enough?

Maybe you’ve been told to rest, but despite taking it easy, your sciatica is not going away. It may even be getting worse.

You might need to work to support yourself and your family. You can’t keep taking time off from work. Maybe there’s no one else who can do your tasks and responsibilities. When you do show up to work, it’s embarrassing to keep asking your boss or co-workers to work around your sciatica. Your family may understand and give you leeway, but your work may rethink if you’re able to handle the responsibilities required by the job position that they’re paying you for.

What if you get fired from your job?

Can you afford to lose your medical insurance or your income? How will you pay for your expensive  sciatica treatments? How will you pay for your other bills and daily expenses? I’ve had many patients in this predicament. They’re short on time, money, and in dire need of sciatica relief. I do my best to get them better as soon as possible in the most affordable way, which includes at-home exercises for sciatica.

Santa Cruz chiropractor offering exercises for sciatica

My name is Dr. John Falkenroth, D.C. I’m a chiropractor in Santa Cruz County, California, USA at the Back Pain And Sciatica Clinic. I’ve treated over 6,000 patients after over 25 years in practice - many of them suffered from sciatica. I’m a full-time practitioner who still treats sciatica patients day in and day out at my clinic. Since I don’t always have enough time to explain to every patient all the important information they should know about their sciatica, I put together the information in my book, “Sciatica Pain Relief Without Back Surgery.”

Many of the exercises in this course also appear in the book, but the book is missing some key exercises that have helped many of my patients. To complement the exercise part of my sciatica book, I created a video course called “Exercises For Sciatica.” Many sciatica sufferers need more specific instructions that demonstrate how to do the exercises for sciatica that I recommend, so I put together this course. The video format also allows me and my staff to show you exactly how to do these at-home sciatica exercises.

If these sciatica exercises help relieve your sciatica, you may be able to save thousands of dollars on expensive sciatica treatments that may not even give you sciatica relief. If you’re still working, maybe you can avoid losing money from lost time from work… and avoid losing your job. Imagine the financial problems you and your family will experience if you lose your job.

What if your sciatica gets much worse and you end up needing back surgery? Some of my patients have benefited from back surgery. However, some found back surgery to be ineffective and resulted in complications and unwanted side effects. Many of my patients seek my help with their sciatica, since they want to avoid back surgery… while they still can.

Isn’t it time to get rid of your sciatica so that you can be more active, get back in shape, lose the extra weight you may have gained from being inactive, once again do your hobbies and activities you enjoy… and that you now avoid because of your sciatica… or because of fear of flaring up your sciatica?

Maybe you can relate to Larry’s story. As a local carpenter, Larry has helped build some of the houses and buildings in our gorgeous area. He started out as a teenager helping around his friend’s father’s construction area to make extra money on weekends. While his high school classmates spent their weekends studying, or hanging out at the beach or at parties, Larry spent his weekends cleaning up work sites and hauling lumber, pipes, concrete, and other essential materials at construction sites. The job was messy and backbreaking, but Larry liked earning the money to save up for his first car. Unlike his classmates’ parents, Larry’s parents couldn’t afford to buy Larry his starter car.

After high school, instead of going off to college, Larry stayed put and worked toward becoming a carpenter. He honed his carpentry skills over the years, and thanks to his excellent work and contacts in the local construction industry, Larry never had trouble finding his next project. When he wasn’t working, Larry surfed, hung out with friends, or visited his parents to lend a helping hand. Larry’s carpentry skills became very popular with friends and family who always seemed to have something broken that needed fixing… and Larry loved being helpful.

After spending an afternoon in September surfing, Larry felt a twinge in his low back on his drive back to his apartment. After taking a warm shower, Larry’s back felt better. He slept well through the night as usual, but in the morning, he had trouble getting out of bed.

His lower back spasmed, preventing him from comfortably getting out of bed. There had been times when he had woken up with his back feeling stiff, but never to the degree where the simple act of getting out of bed became a literal pain in the back.

His low back pain competed with his full bladder for urgency. In agonizing pain, Larry crawled to the bathroom and barely made it to the toilet to relieve himself. As soon as he finished, he once again got on all fours and crawled back to his bedroom to fetch his phone. Larry called his friend Dan to bring him some Advil, which Dan showed up with half an hour later. Fortunately, Larry never locked his front door, so Dan was able to come in without Larry making the painful trek to let his friend in.

The two pills of Advil that Larry chugged down took the edge off his back pain, but Larry still struggled to move without the severe pain in his lower back, so Dan offered to drive his friend to the doctor. Since Larry’s primary doctor had no appointments available that day, they ended up in the nearest urgent care facility. The urgent care doctor sent Larry home with anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxants and told him to rest and take it easy.  To Larry’s pleasant surprise, the muscle relaxants and anti-inflammatories softened up the muscle spasm in his low back, allowing him to walk around with a stiff back, but at least he could function.

Unfortunately, an unfamiliar feeling of pins and needles down the back of his right thigh showed up a week later. At first, the pins and needles came and went, but as the days went on, the sensation lasted longer… and moved lower down to the back of his right leg. At times, Larry felt a lightning bolt sensation down his leg. Larry also noticed his right leg getting numb when he sat for some time - something he never experienced before.

Thanks to the pain and tingling down his leg, interrupted sleep became Larry’s new normal. This prompted Larry to visit his primary doctor, who diagnosed Larry with sciatica and referred him to a physical therapist for treatments. Determined to get better, Larry worked through the painful exercises with his physical therapist… despite feeling very sore and tired after the sessions. When Larry showed minimal improvement after he finished his series of physical therapy sessions, his doctor ordered x-rays of his low back. No major findings showed up on x-rays - just some bone spurs and decreased height of his lower back spinal discs. The doctor told Larry that he had some degenerative arthritis in his spine and that it was a normal part of aging. Larry felt relieved and confused at the same time.

If his back seemed fine, why was he having pain, tingling, and numbness down his right leg? Why did sitting, especially on a hard surface, cause his tailbone to hurt and his leg to tingle and go numb? Why was he having trouble walking… even for short distances?

Larry’s doctor referred him to a pain management specialist, who ordered an MRI of his lower back. The MRI showed a disc bulge at the level of L5-S1. The pain management doctor recommended spinal injections, which Larry agreed to. The first spinal injection worked like a miracle, and Larry felt close to his usual normal self after.

Unfortunately, about four months after the spinal injection, Larry’s sciatica came back. His pain management doctor recommended a second injection, which Larry happily obliged to. Unfortunately, the second injection did not produce miraculous results, and the pain specialist advised Larry that he can only give Larry about 3-4 spinal injections per year. He referred Larry to a back surgeon for a surgical consult. Larry feared back surgery, so he decided to wait and see if his sciatica would get better with more healing time.

His sciatica made Larry impatient waiting in line in stores, and made him detest traffic even more. Getting in and out of his car became difficult, and he minimized the amount of time he stayed behind the wheel.

Surfing seemed like a long lost hobby. Larry struggled to complete his carpentry projects. He hated missing work during bad sciatica flare-ups, causing delays in the projects. Larry’s strong work ethic and go-to painkillers helped him work through the discomfort and eventually finish the projects.

One of the contractors at work told Larry about my office and how I helped him with his own struggle with sciatica. Having never been to a chiropractor, and being afraid of the cracking making his sciatica worse, Larry hesitated, but his friend’s excellent results convinced Larry to seek my help.

Fortunately, Larry responded well to the chiropractic adjustments, non-surgical spinal decompression therapy, and exercises for sciatica I recommended. His sciatica symptoms significantly decreased, and Larry’s right calf regained its lost muscle mass. Prior to consulting me, Larry didn’t notice that his right calf, where he felt his sciatica, shrunk in size compared to his other calf. Once Larry’s condition stabilized, he improved dramatically, and his sciatica flare-ups became far and few in between.

The sciatica exercises that I prescribed to Larry are the same ones contained in this course. Ideally, you would use these exercises with the approval of your doctor or therapist who is familiar with your specific sciatica symptoms. Since these sciatica exercises are designed to be performed in conjunction with your other in-person treatments and therapies, you will get the best results when you keep your doctors and therapists in the loop regarding the exercises for sciatica that you’re doing outside their office.

Larry was thrilled that he could surf once again - an activity that gave him so much joy and peace. He also loved being able to once again do carpentry work without sciatica, and help the team, instead of feeling like a drag on the projects. Larry’s not always great at doing his sciatica exercises, especially when he no longer has the leg pain that reminds him to do his exercises, but he’s thrilled at his results. Now, he visits my office on an as needed basis, usually when he starts to feel lower back pain or leg pain, often after surfing all day during big swells.

You can read more testimonials from other patients I’ve helped near the bottom of this page. Many of them come from diverse backgrounds and have different jobs and personal responsibilities. Maybe you can relate to their stories.

How do you know if these exercises can relieve your sciatica?

As with many things in life, there are no guarantees. It’s best if these sciatica exercises are done in ADDITION to in-person physical treatments with a doctor or a practitioner who knows your past medical history and current condition.

If you’re like many sciatica sufferers, you’ve probably tried many products, treatments, and therapies for sciatica… and been to multiple doctors… and maybe even specialists. You may have even tried some at-home treatments in the past, without getting sciatica relief.

Don’t be discouraged. Keep your hope alive. You may have been given a treatment that didn’t work for your specific sciatica, or you may not have been shown the proper way to do the treatments for maximum benefit.

It’s NOT your fault that you’re still suffering with sciatica. The REAL PROBLEM is that you may not have been shown exactly how to relieve your sciatica in an easy step-by-step method, with guidance on how you’ll know if a sciatica treatment method is good for you… or is harmful to you.

The other solutions you’ve tried in the past may not have addressed the true cause of your sciatica. Maybe you’ve consulted doctors and practitioners who gave you treatment recommendations that may have been too expensive, too invasive, too uncomfortable, or too time-consuming for you.

Medical costs in this country are out of control.

The cost adds up quickly when you visit urgent care facilities, doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors, and other practitioners. Add to that the cost for recommended x-rays, MRIs, spinal injections, muscle relaxants, painkillers, anti-inflammatories, and other procedures.  If you end up needing back surgery, hopefully, the surgery you need will be simple and non-invasive with minimal recovery time and reasonable cost.

Unfortunately, many back surgeries involve more invasive procedures where in addition to the bill from the back surgeon, you’ll have the added cost of the bill from the assisting physician, anesthesiologist, and other support staff. Plus, you’ll also be billed by the hospital for a hospital facility use fee along with the fees for diagnostic procedures and medications you may have needed during your surgery and hospital stay.

After you get released from the hospital, you may have to attend physical therapy sessions to rehabilitate your back. You might also need to buy medications prescribed for your condition. You’ll have a follow-up visit with your back surgeon and your primary care doctor. All these medical costs add up.

Hopefully, you have very good health insurance that will cover your treatments, procedures, and medications. Unfortunately, most health insurance plans come with deductibles and co-pays that you have to pay for out of your own pocket. Doctors, nurses, and other practitioners genuinely want to help people like you, but the high medical costs accrued by their patients are often out of their control.

What if you’re NOT a surgical candidate yet… and you get access to simple easy-to-follow exercises for sciatica put together by an experienced doctor who has treated thousands of sciatica patients? You can do these sciatica exercises in the comfort of your home and on your own schedule… meaning during a time that’s convenient for you and your family.

You may choose to do nothing about your sciatica, or you may choose to continue doing the treatments and therapies you’ve tried for your sciatica, even though they haven’t delivered the sciatica relief you’ve been looking for.

Some people suffer with sciatica for years and are able to tolerate the sharp pain, burning pain, numbness, and tingling. They don’t mind limiting their daily life to only perform activities that won’t flare up their sciatica.

Unfortunately, despite living very carefully and avoiding things that make their sciatica worse, many sciatica sufferers still develop severe functional disabilities as a result of unresolved sciatica that got progressively worse. Some get to a point where they can no longer tolerate their debilitating sciatica symptoms and loss of function.

Once you start experiencing bowel control problems… or bladder control problems… or erectile dysfunction… your only treatment option may be back surgery… which may or may not relieve your sciatica or bring back your lost function. Don’t let this happen to you.

What if this course is what finally gives you sciatica relief?

Right now, I’m offering this Exercises For Sciatica course to sciatica sufferers who are not current active patients at my clinic. I may change my mind and offer this course to only my clinic patients… or I may significantly increase the price I charge for this course. The overwhelmingly positive feedback from my sciatica patients who have benefited so much from these sciatica exercises inspired me to get this information in the hands of other sciatica sufferers who I hope will experience the same sciatica relief as my patients.

Plus, my clinic gets calls from sciatica sufferers who live outside Santa Cruz County, who ask for advice on what treatments and exercises they can do to relieve their sciatica. Since they can’t visit my clinic for treatments, hopefully, this course will help compliment the sciatica treatments they’re receiving in the area where they live.

If you want, you can still access my Exercises For Sciatica course at a reasonable cost. Once you purchase the course, you’ll get instant access, so that you can get started right away on your road to recovery.

Why should you trust me?

Like I mentioned before, I’ve been a chiropractor in Santa Cruz County, California for over 25 years and I’ve treated thousands of patients - many of them suffered from sciatica. I continually update my treatments and recommendations based on knowledge I learn from treating patients, attending seminars, and reading journals and research articles.

Before moving to California, I spent my childhood years in Omaha, Nebraska, where the easy-going, friendly midwestern culture of working hard and helping others in need became second nature.  Also, seeing my grandfather, who was a local pastor, helping others, further inspired me to someday be in a profession where I help others as well.

Growing up, I’ve always been interested in the anatomy and function of the human body, which propelled me to earn my Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology from the University of California at Davis. My studies at UC Davis opened my eyes to the vital role of the nervous system in coordinating many of the essential functions of the human body.

Since I’ve always wanted to serve and help others, I searched for a profession that worked with the human nervous system in a non-invasive manner, and the chiropractic profession matched this desire. Soon after college graduation, I attended the most prestigious chiropractic college in the world. I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, where I graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into the Pi Tau Delta Chiropractic Honor Society.

How does my Exercises For Sciatica course work?

In this course, you will get access to video recordings that show you exactly how to perform the sciatica exercises I recommend. In your own time, and in your own home, you can watch the demonstration of these exercises either on your phone, laptop, or desktop computer.

If you’re like most people, you’re probably busy. Taking up your valuable time driving through traffic to a place where you can perform sciatica exercises and paying a lot of money to do so may not be your preferred choice. Even if you have excellent medical insurance, the cost of treatments and therapies can add up fast.

Of course, an in-person physician or a therapist who can recommend and guide you through the exercises for your specific condition, and give you personal feedback is ideal. In fact, you should always consult your physician and therapist who are familiar with your past medical history and current condition before doing the sciatica exercises in my course.

As with all medical procedures and recommendations, there are no guaranteed positive results. In fact, your condition may get worse, but what if these exercises give you sciatica relief, or prevent your sciatica from getting worse, is it worth a try? You may choose to try this remote learning opportunity, especially if you’re self-motivated and able to learn and follow instructions via video lessons.

In my Exercises For Sciatica course, I also guide you in determining for yourself whether or not an exercise may be helping you… or hurting you. This information is important, because when it comes to exercises for sciatica, no pain no gain is not a good rule, and not knowing what exercises to do or how to properly do them, may make your sciatica worse.

I also provide you with a checklist that will help you keep track of the exercises you’ll be doing throughout the week. This weekly checklist will help you easily remember what exercises to do, and allow you to quickly see how compliant you are with performing them. You’re not required to show this checklist to us or to anyone else. It’s simply a tool that you can use to help keep you on track with your sciatica exercises. This checklist alone may be worth the cost of this course.

IN ADDITION to covering the 7 sciatica exercises, my course also cover the following sciatica-related topics:

  • The #1 back position to AVOID
  • When to go to the emergency room
  • When surgery may be your only option
  • The one rule you should follow when performing sciatica exercises
  • How OFTEN to perform each sciatica exercise
  • How LONG to hold each sciatica exercise
  • Different ways to traction your spine at home
  • Should you use an inversion table?
  • Should you use ice or heat for your sciatica?
  • 5 things to avoid when you have sciatica
  • The proper way to get off the bed to prevent making your sciatica worse
  • What may have caused your sciatica
  • What NOT to wear when you have sciatica
  • Two ways to walk for sciatica relief
  • What is kinesiophobia and how to avoid developing it

These additional topics that I discuss in this course can mean the difference between you recovering from your sciatica, or you living the rest of your life suffering from chronic sciatica… or you becoming a candidate for back surgery when your condition no longer qualifies for other non-surgical treatment options.

How can you get started on my Exercises For Sciatica course?

For less than the usual cost of a doctor’s visit, you can have access to my Exercises For Sciatica course. For people with sciatica, typically, their care requires multiple visits to different  doctors. Also, if their condition gets much worse, they may require back surgery. The cost of multiple visits to your doctor, specialists, imaging, procedures, rehabilitation, and lost time from work can quickly add up to a huge amount of money that will make the cost of my course pocket change.

Also, since I’m very busy and can’t offer personalized advice to buyers of my course, I’m able to keep the price of this course low. Please don’t buy my course and expect to have access to me or my staff regarding personal recommendations and advice on your specific condition.

I can’t guarantee that the price of this course will remain at this low price, since the additive price of the tools we need to deliver this course to sciatica sufferers keeps going up. If you’re interested in this course, I suggest you buy it now before the price goes up, and also because I can’t guarantee that I will always offer this course to people who are not currently active patients of mine.

Once you make your payment, you get instant access to the course and view the lessons right away. You can go through the lessons at your own pace, but keep in mind that your course purchase only gives you access to the course for one month.

Why only one month?

Research has shown that many course buyers do not finish the course material they pay for. Once they buy the course, they put off completing the course material, thinking that they have unlimited time to finish the course.

I want you to succeed in getting sciatica relief with my course. I intentionally made this course succinct, with only the essential information that you need to get relief of your sciatica, via the sciatica exercises I recommend, along with other simple tips. Giving you a shortened time frame to finish my course will hopefully build on the momentum from the day you purchase this course and motivate you to finish the course quickly.

The main thing that determines your success with this course is how well you follow my recommendations. Since this course is on exercises for sciatica, the backbone of your success will be performing the sciatica exercises I recommend on a regular basis.

The checklist I include with this course should help keep you organized and compliant with the sciatica exercises. Even though you only have one month to access the lessons in this course, you can keep this checklist for as long as you want and make as many copies as you need, but only for your personal use. Please don’t distribute copies of this checklist to others, since this will violate copyright laws and also violate your agreement for the purchase and use of this course.

It’s your decision whether or not you buy my Exercises For Sciatica course. You have many options regarding getting sciatica relief. Maybe my course is not even right for you.

But, what do you have to lose?

What other sciatica treatments have you tried? Did they work? Is your sciatica getting better, worse, or the same? If you’re like most sciatica sufferers, your sciatica may have first started as low back pain. Then you might have started feeling pain, tingling, or numbness down the back of your thigh or leg - usually on one side. Now, your sciatica affects your ability to walk, sit, stand, and sleep comfortably for long periods.

What other functions and daily activities got negatively affected by your sciatica? What if your sciatica gets worse? What additional limitations will it put on your daily life, or on your family’s life? What additional expenses will you and your family incur?

I’m not sure if my course can relieve your sciatica, or can prevent the damage from getting worse. What do you have to lose by trying the sciatica exercises in my course?

If you’ve read Larry’s story, or the testimonials from my patients at the bottom of this page, you know I've helped many sciatica sufferers.

The way I see it, you have 3 options…

Option #1: Do absolutely nothing and stay exactly where you are right now. Although as with most things in life, things have a tendency to change - sometimes for the better, but with sciatica, usually it gets worse if you do nothing to treat it.

If you’re confident that your sciatica will get better on its own without any intervention, then maybe you don’t need my Exercises For Sciatica course.

But, if you're afraid that your sciatica may get worse if you don’t do something about it,  then that leaves you with two other options…

Option #2: Do it yourself.

You can read piles of books written about sciatica and go through the mountains of research studies and articles on sciatica that have been published. In addition, you can watch hundreds of videos on sciatica. Then, try to analyze the many sciatica treatments that have shown promising results.. and hope you pick the right ones to try for you.

If you’re willing to work hard and spend hours in front of the computer, or reading books, you might be able to pull it off.

Option #3: Let me do the heavy lifting for you.

I’ve done the legwork and spent countless hours reading sciatica-related books, research studies, and articles. I’ve watched numerous instructional videos on sciatica, and attended many in-person seminars. I’ve spent over 25 years treating thousands of patients, where I tested and filtered through the sciatica exercises and treatments that have helped my patients.

Of these three options…

Ask yourself, what’s going to be easier for you?

Are you ready to take action when the opportunity presents itself? Since you’ve read this far, I think that you may be ready to give this course a try to relieve your sciatica.

If I’m right and you’re still with me…

I’m ready to give you instant access to my Exercises For Sciatica course. Click on the button that says BUY THE COURSE. Only you can decide.

  • Having researched “wellness” thoroughly, I can speak very clearly of the benefit my family and I receive via this clinic. As a family, we rarely visit the MD (except for the occasional stitches or poison oak treatment), and have enjoyed the freedom of movement even as we get older. I recommend this clinic all of the time with satisfactory results from all.

She said that Dr. Falkenroth has some advanced techniques that could help me out. I was very skeptical at first, but after 3-4 weeks, the pain has subsided and the visits are less and less frequent.

Over the next few visits my back and neck pain were all but gone. I was skeptical of his approach with the new technology but am now sold on his procedures.

Coming here to Dr. Falkenroth was a breath of fresh air! My first visit was great. I left here with less pain in my back, but still not sure about how his adjustments were going to help. About 4-6 weeks into the adjustments/treatments I noticed a very significant difference in my pain level. 5-9/10 down to 0-1/10 pain level. It is so nice to

  • At first I was skeptical about the effectiveness of the adjusting machine he uses, but I am now a huge fan. It instantly shows areas of my spine that are slightly out of whack that I might otherwise have simply written off as stress or tension. When something is out of whack, Dr. Falkenroth can pinpoint the area and treat it accordingly. I no longer suffer from chronic headaches and my back has never been stronger.
